Get ready for the NPTEWith the July NPTE just around the corner, it can be very overwhelming to think about all of the information that you have to know for this comprehensive exam.  I think it is safe to say that there are many who are scared stiff by the proposition.  In some earlier posts, I’ve mentioned some important tips and tricks to help you know if you’re ready for the NPTE.  I thought it would be helpful to review some of these for the last 2 weeks of studying.

  1. Relax.  Make sure you know where your testing center is and how long it will take you to get there in traffic or if your old Chevy just decides to die that morning.  Give yourself plenty of time.

  2. Have a plan.  I have a structured and mentored study program that I have offered to several groups in the past.  If you choose, you can download the syllabus and study it on your own.  I am also available for small groups of 3-8 that are interested in mentored study.

  3. Study everything.  Make sure you really know your stuff.  A brief and superficial knowledge will not be enough for the deep reasoning questions of the NPTE.

These are just a few thoughts to help you know if you are ready for the NPTE.  You are so awesome for getting to this stage of your career.
