VIP(T) NPTE Course

PTA Premium Course

For those of you that finished the January 29 NPTE, great work!  Congratulations for making it this far in your physical therapy career.

For those of you that are anticipating the April 30 NPTE, let’s get to work.  With fixed-date testing, it becomes vital that you get your exam registration and approval done in a timely fashion.  Here’s a breakdown of what you have to do and when:

For the April 30, 2013 Exam:

  • By March 23, 2013 you must register and pay your exam fees.  This is over a month in advance, so keep that in mind.
  • By April 1 you must have your jurisdiction approval from the state where you are applying for licensure.
  • By April 9 you must have reserved your seat with Prometric to sit for the exam.
  • Scores are released to the states by May 7, and an online report is available on May 14.

I know that it seems like a daunting task to get all your paperwork in order, but it is attainable.  Any time you deal with government red tape and organization, just be ready for delays and issues.

I have put together a more detailed guide about the process for applying for the NPTE.  Be sure to check it out and see an in depth guide to the NPTE.
