VIP(T) NPTE Course

PTA Premium Course

For students who finished the NPTEHey everybody,

It’s hard to believe that another NPTE has come and passed.  I sincerely hope that you did your best on the NPTE and that you feel satisfied with your efforts.  The reports I’ve received is that this was a very challenging exam, as hard as any other previous versions.  The NPTE has a reputation for pulling out things from the deepest depths of your PT schooling, and I believe that this one lived up to that reputation.

If you are anything like me, you will be very anxious to know when and how you will receive your score.  The FSBPT transmits the score to your state licensing authority 5 days after the exam.  Your individual score report will be available 10 BUSINESS days after the exam and will be available for 1 month.  This score report will be available here.  You simply have to sign in to see your individual report.  This is a new service for examinees in 2013 and is a valuable resource, especially for those who fail the exam.

For those of you who pass the exam, CONGRATULATIONS!  There is no feeling like knowing that you will be able to begin working in the field of your dreams.  You can now take a deep breath and begin earning money instead of just spending it!

For those of you who do not pass the exam, don’t get down on yourself.  This is a really hard test.  You will overcome this.  Think positive thoughts.  Find people around you to encourage you.  If you need a shoulder to cry on, take some time, but remember to bounce back.  You can do this!  I have talked with a number of students who have failed the exam multiple times before finally passing.  The key is perseverance.  Several of them admit that they did not study as hard as they should have when preparing for their first attempt.  They only realized too late that this test requires MONTHS of serious preparation.  You CAN do this.

I have been a practicing Physical Therapist for over 2 years now, and I feel like it is the perfect job.  I love being able to help people and see them through the end of their rehab.  Sure, there are up days and down days, and no one likes to do paperwork, but I love this job.  It is deeply satisfying to help and interact with people that I can call my friends.

As always, I am here to help.  Feel free to contact me if there is anything I can do for you.  If you feel like you would benefit from a mentored study group, be sure to check out the Mastermind Study Group 2013 series going on in August and September.  These study groups are a lot of fun and really help students prepare for the NPTE by reviewing EVERYTHING!  I wish you all the best!
